Limited Series Part II: Important Team Announcements

Limited Series Part II: Important Team Announcements

Thank you for your business and for choosing Janssen Veterinary Clinic to provide care for your pets. Last week we told you about moving into the Janssen Reproduction Center. This week, we have some important team announcements to share with you.

Dr. Alexandra Mahaffy

DR. ALEXANDRA MAHAFFY

We are excited to announce that Dr. Alexan Mahaffy has joined the JVC team. Dr. Mahaffy is originally from upstate New York where she grew up riding and showing in the hunter and equitation events. She made her way down south where she received her BS in Animal Science from Texas A&M University, and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. Upon graduation, she completed a rotating internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. Her primary interests include managing the equine athlete with a focus on equine sports medicine as well as primary care. Outside of work, Dr. Mahaffy enjoys sitting down with a good book, traveling, and spending time exploring the outdoors with her family and her dog, Betty. Dr. Mahaffy is excited to meet you.

DR. CHRISTINE INMAN

We also want to inform you that Dr. Christine Inman’s last day at Janssen Veterinary Clinic will be on Friday, July 5, 2024. We are so thankful for the opportunity to have worked with Dr. Christine over the past five years. She has taken a new position in order to be closer to home, and while we are sad to see her leave, we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

DR. JAKE JENSEN

Dr. Jake Jensen stepped into an ownership role in the clinic in 2021. Our small animal patients are very special to us and, as many of you already know, Dr. Jake has been splitting his time between the equine and small animal clinics. He will be taking on the role of primary veterinarian in the small animal clinic while we continue our search for additional practitioners. Dr. Jake will continue seeing a limited number of equine cases, however, opportunities to perform chiropractic and acupuncture care for horses on farm calls will be limited in the interim.

To continue providing quality care going forward, the small animal clinic will focus on wellness appointments, general surgery, and dentistry. Other intensive medicine, surgery, and oncology cases will be referred to our trusted referral partner clinics.

Thank you again for your continued support for Janssen Veterinary Clinic. Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions.
